Our Story

Every great space begins with a vision.

For Conrad, that vision started with a passion for working with his hands. He has always been driven by the satisfaction of creating something exceptional from raw materials, believing that true craftsmanship is found in the details that many people never notice.

For Danielle, it began with art and design. She has always loved seeing the potential in any space, imagining not only what it could become, but how thoughtful design could transform the way people experience their homes and lives every day.

Together, we shared a simple belief: there was room for something better. Not bigger or faster, just better.

We believed there were homeowners who valued exceptional craftsmanship over shortcuts, timeless design over trends, and quality that could be seen and felt for decades to come. We knew we could create a company that delivered not only an impeccable product, but an experience built on trust, collaboration, and attention to every detail.

That belief became Attlea.

As a family-owned company based in Edmonton, Alberta, every project we undertake is designed specifically for the people who will live with it. We don't rely on standard solutions or production-line thinking. Every cabinet, finish, and detail is thoughtfully considered to create spaces that are as functional as they are beautiful.

Everything is crafted in our Edmonton workshop, where design, manufacturing, finishing, and quality control remain under one roof. This hands-on approach allows us to maintain the standards that have defined Attlea from the very beginning.

We believe exceptional cabinetry isn't measured only by what you see, but by what you feel every time you open a perfectly spaced drawer, run your hand across a pristinely finished surface, or gather with family in a space designed to fit you perfectly. It's the precision of every reveal, the durability of every material, and the confidence that comes from knowing nothing has been overlooked that is exceptional to us.

We believe the relationships we build are just as important as the cabinetry we create. It's a privilege to be welcomed into our clients' homes, and we never take that trust for granted. We have made some life long friendships out of the customers we’ve had through the years.

Today, we're honored to collaborate with homeowners, builders, architects, and interior designers throughout Alberta, creating bespoke cabinetry and architectural millwork that will be enjoyed for generations.

The Name Behind Attlea

People often ask where the name Attlea comes from.

The answer is one of our favorite parts of the story.

Attlea is a combination of the names of our first two children, Atticus and Everlea, while our youngest daughter, Islette(who was born after Attlea was started), is represented by the "Inc."(we later decided..haha), and that officially completes our company name.

Although it wasn't intentional, we also discovered that the French word ‘Atelier’ means ‘workshop or artist's studio—a place where ideas are thoughtfully designed and carefully crafted by skilled artisans’. Which is remarkably fitting for the close relationship to the word ‘Attlea’.

That unexpected connection couldn't describe our philosophy more perfectly. For us, Attlea has always been about family, craftsmanship, and creating spaces with intention.
